buying scanner

i want to buy a decent scanner ..just for scanning documents and photographs.I am just a student ...not for commercial pusposes.

Condition is that it must be cheap but should still efficient.
Value for money .

I think whatever you do go for a hp scanner they are the best and have very good support. At least that is my experience.
Ive been using my HP 3200C for the last 5-6 years without any major breakdown excpt that i had to get its tube changed as it was getting weaker apart from that i use my machine very roughly and hardly clean it either.

I own a HP 3400 n the performance is OK and
the price is also very affordable.
Also Microtek is a good brand when it comes to affordable entry level scanners.

Many do..
Benq is just OK if ur on a tight budget.

many home users use it as it is aroung 700 bucks cheaper without as such fall in qaulity

I have been using HP 2300C entry level model from HP. Amazing clarity of photographs. Even with some stray marks on the glass Scans are very well taken. u will get it for around 3K

i am using canon lide 20 and pretty satisfied by its scanning capabilities
it can be programed to to remove noise or dust easily
