Buying new router for HD streaming

Guys,
Sick of the isp provided router, I have decided to swap it in for a new one.
I have a powerful desktop with Gtx 970, and a Nvidia shield TV, so I will be using gamestream to play on my tv.
Also I have a Ps4 and many other devices which will be connecting to the wifi signal (about 8 including laptops and phones). There is a lot of youtube and movie streaming which I do on them.
So according my research, AC standard is seeming necessary for such high bandwidth intensive tasks.

I narrowed down to TP-Link Archer C7 router, but it's costing around 8k.
I would prefer if something around 5k could suffice my needs.

TLDR: need new router, lots of devices ( smart TV, ps4, nvidia shield tv, phones). Primary concerns are local streaming speeds, and range (Atleast 50,60 feet for 5ghz band)

For whatever possibly reason, which I'm unable to fathom, the archer c7 signal on 2.4ghz is anywhere between 2-5 dbi less than my old router placed right next to it. Have been doing this testing all over my house.
The old one is an ISP(airtel) provided beetel modem router, probably n150, never bothered checking.
Any ideas?

Also the netgear R7000 is selling for 10.5k on Amazon today, is the extra 2k worth it?

doesn't look like extra 2k is worth it but you can go through above links for more details.

As for signal it may be just the weak performance in 2.4ghz range.
