1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')
Ans: Video and Audio Editing. Light gaming but primary usage is editing

2. What is your overall budget? If you can extend a bit for a more balanced configuration, then mention this too.
Ans: max 2400 CAD, would prefer to close it at around 2000 CAD if possible

3. Planning to overclock?
Ans: not right now

4. Which Operating System are you planning to use?
Ans: Win 10

5. How much hard drive space is needed?
Ans: Minimum 500 GB

6. Do you want to buy a monitor? If yes, please mention which screen size and resolution do you want. If you already have a monitor and want to reuse it, again mention the size and resolution of monitor you have.
Ans: Not now, will be using Haier Smart TV 32d3005g for now. Will be buying two monitors in April for a dual monitor setup.

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans: No

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans: This week

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans: Assembler

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?
Ans: Toronto. Open to buying online.

11. Anything else which you would like to say?
Ans: Two configs are mentioned below. This has been suggested by someone. Open to changes to them. To save costs was considering 1700 instead of 1700x. Let me know your thoughts.

I will be frank,Adata should always be anyone's last choice not first especially if one is looking for quality.I just replied on another thread, see that post:
Post your latest Purchase

Get RGB version if you have the budget, yes it is extra money just for "cool lighting effects" but then if one has earned money then he has also earned the right to enjoy it.

are you suggesting the 3000 mhz one or 3200 mhz one? and what CAS?

Also, would you suggest any change in any other component cause we are gouing ahead with bssunil's recommendations?

Would you all suggest going with a better PSU? If yes, which one?

also suggestions for a cooler for the processor?

Assume the budget is 130k and not 120k.

I would suggest you to wait for the Ryzen 2 refresh coming early 2018

AMD Plans Ryzen 2 February Launch: Intel Faces Tough 2018?

Also, don't you think the psu which you suggest maybe a tad bit overkill for the config?

Try this one:

Gskill TridentZ starts from 3200MHz & will run at 3200MHz guaranteed as per that tomshardware link I posted in other post unlike other brand rams which usually run at max speed of 2966MHz that too with much tinkering. The point is,why spend extra money on 3000MHz or above ram if it is not guaranteed to run at that speed unless it is TridentZ.If you don't want TridentZ 3200MHz ram then just get 2400/2666 MHz ram from any brand, don't go for in-between(aka 3000MHz ram)/alternative options(aka other brands 3200MHz ram).

Corsair CX650M is good psu but a better one is Corsair RM650X.

For cpu cooler I don't have much idea but for moderate overclocking,a good air cooler like hyper212 should be enough.

P.S.seems like Ryzen stock cooler should be good too & Hyper212 needs a upgrade kit for compatibility with AM4/Ryzen.
