I feel that my comp. is taking up much time to boot.
I have a K8VX motherboard with AMD 64 bit 3000+, 512 MB RAM, 80 GB SATA. At present i have FC3 and Windows XP Pro. As soon as the PC boots the Graphics CArd memory is displayed and then i see the 2 Serial connections for the Hard disk, one of which is connected...then i am forced to stare at the K8VX motherboard logo for approx. 30 secs....and the i see the Grub boot loader. This problem is there right from the day i upgraded my PC...it's not just coz i installed FC3. Even when i had XP alone i had the problem.....can you guys help me out ??

Does the mobo have a raid based on the silicon image raid controller say 3112/3114? have you connected a hard disk to this? is it enabled? There is a known issue of the Si raid controller waiting to find a non existant disk. I am just thinking loude as i have no idea about your mobo.
