Ofcourse, i5 will be better. I suggested that one because you don't need a GPU, but you will appreciate the 1080p screen, low weight & good battery life

I don't think i3 is a slouch. It will be sufficient for daily general usage. For more number of chrome tabs, get more RAM

Also i3 6100U is equivalent to 4th gen i5 ULV...

Wen't to HP store to have a look.
Sis liked it.
But I worry about build quality.
I like Lenovo for that.Y510p is up and running as solid as a rock till now.

I also saw Dell Inspiron 15 N5559 for 56k with i5 1080p touch and R5 Raedon graphics.

I came across 6th gen i7 Lenovo 300 12 gb ram for 40k but with had screen

So I am super confused.
Never had a dell or HP once.

I can tell you from personal experience that asus laptops below 40k don't have good touchpad only decent/average touchpad plus they don't have single swipe scroll function which i like much better than two finger scroll gesture which i somehow managed to get working decently after reducing the sensitivity of mouse/touchpad pointer.

Dell & HP both use proprietary charging mechanism meaning there is an identification chip in adapter as well as on mobo which can identify whether an original dell/hp adapter is being used for charging the laptop.Suppose your adapter goes bad after warranty period & you buy a cheaper universal adapter then laptop will detect it & will reduce the functionality of the laptop(throttling cpu/gpu speed) as long as that adapter is used.Another problem is if anything bad happens to charging circuit mechanism on mobo after warranty period then it is a big headache because repairing it is not possible.One can only replace it with another charging circuit from another similar hp/dell mobo which may or may not be there with the repair shop.Without charging circuit replacement,battery cannot be charged & it will effectively work as a desktop with no ups.

Dell should have the best build quality as well as best after sales support in most of the cases.Many Lenovo laptop screens are usually TN with no LED backlit feature mentioned.HP & Dell almost always have LED backlit screen mentioned in feature.

comment suggest this one has full HD IPS screen which,if correct,is very good.

For your usage integrated graphics of 5th gen or 6th gen core i series is enough.Don't go for a laptop with dedicated graphics by sacrificing on processor & weight as no laptop from dell/hp/lenovo costing 40-50k is worth buying only for their graphics card.Also you have to compromise somewhere as running a core i5 on full HD will not let you have a 5-6 hr backup unless maybe at lowest/very low brightness.8gb ram is must for 100+ tabs in chrome.

I personally think that the HP 2 in 1 with SSD & extra 8GB RAM will be a great choice for 50k

You don't need a GPU for your usage

For gaming, I will recommend the HP one whitestar_999 mentioned

As far as problems in long run are concerned, usually lenovo ones suffer from broken hinge, whereas HP laptops heat up a lot (that's because my friends used laptop on bed, which is never advisable) & Dell has random issue. Chances of getting a major issue is very slim. All 3 companies have good after sales

I don't think HP one has warranty. So I'll suggest going with Asus one

Just a heads up.Asus R558UF has only win 10 drivers so you can only install win 10 & not 7/8/8.1 on this laptop.

Last week Asus launched R558UR
- 4 GB DDR4
-FHD 1080p AG
-1 TB HDD
-i5 6th gen

So for 40500/- bro purchased it.Sweet deal.

Coupled with 750 evo 250 GB for ~ 4.4k
