Best Resolution for 19" CRT

I have a samsung 955DF 19" monitor. Im not sure which resolution would be optimum for this monitor. It supports 1280x1024 @ 75hz, 1280X960 @85hz. out of these two which one should i use it for regular use?

75 Hz is fine enough, so keep it at 1280x1024. If you don't feel good watching it refresh at 75Hz, switch to the higher one though its pretty usable anyway.

1280x1024 is the standard one though, after 1024x768.

1280 *1024 will be right. though 1280*960 is actually the"correct" resolution since its in the ratio 4:3 and unlike 1280*1024 which is the res with a ratio of 5:4. but somehow 1280*1024 has stuck ad continues to be the preferred res in 19" crt

Thanks guys. I though many would recommend 1280x960 against 1280x1024 as the supported refresh rate is 85hz better than the later. I will go with the standard then - 1280x1024

85 Hz refresh rate is better for the eyes.Wont strain ur eyes much.

First u will have a standard aspect ratio which is relevant to the size of ur monitor.
secondly 85Hz is smooth and doesnt strain ur eyes..
