G40. Anyway are we using NFC in India? Also, are G40 and M31 available offline?

as per some online comments, some people are using it.

some offline shops order only online phones on order or without order if the phone is in great demand (i saw some nord units in a shop when it was launched - some 500 more than online price). G40 falls under this category.

M31 may be available as a lot of samsung online phones are now available offline also.

So basically even if they're available offline it will cost more. I just wanted to feel how big these phones are.

as per reviewers, G40 is BIG and heavy at 225 grams
M31 is slightly smaller and lighter.
M31 if available with samsung shops should be at the same price.

M series is an online only lineup from Samsung. They provide better specs by cutting out middle men otherwise involved for offline phones. A series is for the offline market, hence the inferior specs for the money.

my dear friend, i know all that when this whole thing started to counter Xiaomi and Realme in budget segment. what i said about availability in offline market of M series is based upon my personal experience in Samsung Store here. the days of that strict online and offline differentiation is gone.

Strange. I haven't seen M series phones in big phone shops in Bengaluru (Samsung & 3rd part like Poorvika) even like 3-4 months ago. As I said earlier, some small shop do sell it for like 1k extra. I bought my mother's Redmi Note 8 Pro locally as her old phone failed & needed a phone urgently.

no idea. may be its different from state to state or even for cities.
redmi is a different case. as told by a multibrand shop also known as Xiaomi preferred dealer or whatever is called, almost all Redmi phones (a generation old) were available (October 2019).

here in WB M series phones are available at offline shops in abundance-that's probably because of the high demand for samsung phones here.

Are they available in big shops (like Poorvika, or the likes) or official Samsung stores though? Because I see them in relatively small multibranded phone shops easily as well.
