Even for G5S I installed Custom ROM by name Pixel Experience ROM which made it unstable where I again installed the stock ROM and exchanged it for another phone via OLX locally. I think I got lucky here.

Recently I was reading comments on a famous youtuber’s community post. He basically put up a poll about best phone brand. In the comments people were raging about realme. The brand is playing dirty tricks, by giving unstable updates to its one year old phones so people are forced to buy new one. Even I have experienced this, they gave rui 1.0 update and it ruined it. Realme also knowingly gives broken kernel codes, due to which custom Rom have problems like lack of fp sensors and 4g not working.

Mi is also in the list as it is giving buggy updates.

Everyone prefer Samsung over other brands now due to its after sales and build.

Channel is gyan therapy.

Samsung has changed its strategy regarding new phones and now gives security updates for 4 years while it gives OS updates for 3 years.
Everything regarding updates, new phone releases, upcoming phones, changelogs regarding updates are put in sammobile website. So anybody can browse it anytime.

Did you remove the ads, pre installed softwares like mi pay, mi browser, etc and how is the display now?

And did you buy it online or the mi store?
I disabled ads by disabling all those notifications. Since I can't service the phone if a problem arises, I opted not to delete Mi bloatwares. Just instructed my aunt to not use it nor create Mi account.

Display is same after the update, but as I said, its only visible from bit extreme angles. Even my S8 has yellow tint at extreme angles. AMOLEDs generally have some issue at extreme angle, but since it's not visible in daily use, didn't complain or anything. OP Nord has a similar rainbow effect but my father never saw it till I pointed it out, although it's relatively easily visible in RN10.

Bought from amazon.

Which is best phone in redmi 10 note pro and g40 fusion? Each have similar specs, only difference in price
I think the main differences are AMOLED vs LCD, battery, weight & cleaner OS.
Compare Motorola Moto G40 Fusion vs. Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro (India) - GSMArena.com

Decide your priorities, like AMOLED required + bit faster charging vs clean OS + bigger battery but at a higher weight.

Thanks for the responses.

Please clarify, does AMOLED's have yellow on display and IPS LCD have normal white display ?

I never said that. I said my S8 has a yellowish tint when viewed from "extreme" angles. Saw rainbow like hue on RN10 & OP Nord, heard of pinkish tint on some OLEDs at extreme angles as well.

The main difference you will notice is that AMOLED displays have awesome black color reproduction (trust me; I have tried) because of how they work. However there's no perceivable difference between their whites. If you want some indepth info instead check out this: AMOLED vs LCD: differences explained

I quite liked the idea of Samsung using the Mediatek Helio G80 chipset in one of its devices. It had other good specs as well.

It's just that i don't want to open a new thread. I just would like to your opinion on samsung M31. It sounds good in below 15K category. And i don't want any chinese phones. Other than samsung are there any other good brands? Heard LG is shutting down. Else would have checked them out

LG budget phones were never great, so nevermind.

For non-Chinese M31 is fine, but M32 might be out in a few months. Make sure you check some guide for disabling annoying nagware (recommendations in notification) as Samsung has those & it can be disabled only during the first boot (unlike Redmi). If you want to disable it later on, you will have to reset the phone.

For most users, my recommendation would be Moto G40 fusion or Redmi Note 10 Pro for AMOLED but needs to spend some time disabling ads. It can be done & I recently configured a relative's RN10.

I don't think i can wait long. My Nokia 6.1 plus has stopped working (touch not working on half of the screen). Can't repair due to lock down. it's a second issue iam facing in 3 months so i think it's time i look for a replacement.. Regarding G40, i think it's too big. Moreover, as it's launched only this month iam not able to find any proper reviews. How is it?

G40 fusion seems good. It's long & heavy for sure.

Many youtubers have reviewed either G40 fusion or G60, the difference between the two is just the camera. Check videos from multiple sources:

it is not just the camera but NFC also. G40 does not have NFC.

I read in gsm that both NFC and dust resistance is not available in Indian version. Is there any official confirmation?
