Someone suggested Dell Vostro 3500/ 3550 to me at 35k. How do you compare that? Any other options?

If you are willing to wait for a couple of months, AMD A-series processor based laptops will be released soon. at that price you can get a quad core (better for multitasking) and better graphics performance.

May need it in the next couple of weeks actually. Will Delhi/Gurgaon folks here know where I can get the best deal? I was planning to go to Croma.

How's Vostro, any other options?

you'll get option of Win 7 professional, do you really need that?

I think Inspiron makes bang for buck.

Else, wait a month for Llano laptops.

Vostro is a bit more reliable than the Inspiron series but not easily available in the consumer market. If you can get a vostro with same config as that of Inspiron for same price, go for it. And do note that they suck look wise.
