4) What are the primary tasks will you be performing with this notebook?

Moderate Gaming, Coding, Video Editing, AUTOCAD, and common tasks like surfing and I will be doing a lot of tasks simultaneously.


5) What screen resolution(s) & type (glossy/matte) would you prefer?

I definitely want atleast full hd and preferably glossy. A good quality screen is very important.

6) Anything else you would like to say? (eg: local purchase, ASS,matte/glossy finish)

I will be buying locally from Delhi.
Please suggest laptops which have(in addition to above):

i7 (4th gen if possible)
backlit keyboard
SSD
Portability is not that much of an issue if it is less than 3 kg.

I will be using this laptop for atleast next 3 years.

Wait for a month, until Dell, Lenovo, HP refreshes its line up.

Best option is import one from US, if u can. One of my friend, living in Delhi, told me that some shopkeepers, at Nehru place, import laptop, if u place a order with them. Check it

I would recommend a maxed out Lenovo Y500 with 3rd Gen Intel i7 3630QM processor, 15.6" FHD display, 16GB SSD+1TB HD,2X GT750M in SLI, and 16GB RAM @ $1149.
OR
Lenovo Y510p with 4th generation Intel i7 4702MQ processor, 15.6" FHD display, 24GB SSD+1TB HD,2X GT750M in SLI, and 16BG RAM. @$1299.
