My friend who is a mechanical engineer wants to purchase a laptop. Can anyone suggest a good laptop preferably between 30-60k?

2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?

Also, which exact games would he be playing?

Any size would be okay. And I am not sure about what games he will be playing. Leave the gaming part then. I just mentioned it explicitly as I read somewhere that gaming laptops will be better for rendering and all.

I feel you may need to raise the budget to around 55-60K since no laptops with Intel -i5 9300H with dedicated GPU are retailing below 50K

Buy laptop with SSD since it would be way better than one with just a HDD.

You can check these below and also wait for suggestions from senior and experienced people on the forum

Has the same specs as Lenovo Legion Y540 base variant which retails at 63K.
