This phone is for my elder bro who has some vision problems so good display quality is must.
Dual sim, Good Battery back up. The phone should be pocket-able to carry in jeans/formal trouser pockets

also check Grand 2 if you can find it under 20k though unlikely. Slightly big but should slip into pocket. check user reviews about battery life at flipkart. most samsung budget phone have extremely poor battery backup.

L90's display resolution is low but so is its screen size. Also cost 5k less than Grand 2.

Go for Moto G 16GB if 4.5" is sufficient.

I don't see Xaimai or whatever/Gionee anywhere in those lists. Huawei is making good and has come a good long way, they have established good service as well as presence all over the world, and they are a major OEM vendor, not sure about Yulong, heard they made a fortune selling ipad clones.

Sells doesn't reflect quality of phone. Micromax is 2nd largest smart phone company in india does it mean micromax is better than Sony.

Grand was absolute crap but sold like hot cakes because of the growing trend of phablets, aggressive marketing and lastly it was the only budget phablet. Grand had WVGA resolution whereas Grand 2 resolution got bumped all the way to HD. moreover, Grand 2 is priced at 20-21k (launched @ 24k). You can't expect a 20k device from a top tier mobile OEM to have FHD display. Overall, other than the same age old looks, there is no similar between Grand and Grand 2.

Guys how is lenovo k900, Intel 2ghz chip, 2gb ram around 20k.

My bro may drop the plan for dual sim. We were at croma store to try out different screen size fones. 6 inch Sony t2 ultra was perfect for him to view but bit difficult to carry, ram is also bit let down(350 free). 5 inch fones are compromise, 5.5 inch would be perfect trade off for him.
