Best CPU & GPU

so, I built a PC a while back but because of insufficient funds, I got a temporary low-end CPU and no GPU.
now I'm looking for adding both of them to my build, the purpose will be playing all sorts of new and old games on max settings like Assassins Creed 3, Hitman, sleeping dogs, etc.
ok, before u tell me to do it, I'm not filling that Q&A coz I'm just asking a general question about just the cpu and gpu, not the whole computer build...

so, tell me, which cpu should I buy:
intel i7 2700k or intel i7 3770k

and which gpu amongst these:
- nvidia geforce gtx 670 or
- nvidia geforce gtx 670 amp edition or
- nvidia geforce gtx 680

is the increase in performance good enough with the increase in price and this stuff is pretty expensive so can I expect that I won't be needing an upgrade for at least 2-3 years???

I've checked the prices of all these and these are in my budget.(around 60k)
I've a corsair 700 watts psu
motherboard is asrock z77

Check this:SAPPHIRE GRAPHICS CARD HD7970 OC edition -29k+shipping
This card overclocks quite well and is priced quite well.
If you are more into CPU overclocking then take i7 2600k/2700k over i7 3770k.For moderate clocks pick anyone of the i7 2600k/2700k/3770k.
Also get a good CPU cooler.

One monitor or multiple monitors?

Multiple monitors or planning to add multiple monitors - Get the 7970.

Single monitor : Both cards will kill every game. You can OC both.

Don't buy the 680, not worth the money. And if this PC is only for gaming (as OP suggests), then an i5-3570K (you can OC this too) should be enough. You won't see a marked increased in performance of games between and i5 and an i7.

Proper benchmarks. Most tests both the 680 and the 7970 are neck and neck. Some run visibly better on nvidia than amd

Sapphire hd7970 OC edition at that price is a much better value as of now.Overclocks very well.
After newer driver updates from both the camps,hd 7970 cards have better value for the price and also are the better performers in most cases.
