Someone i know wants to buy an air cooler for his 12400f. He's torn between deepcool ag400 led and cm hyper 212 spectrum v3. Out of these which would be the better choice?

Factors under consideration are ease of installation and cooling Performance. Also his budget is upto 2300 only.

Please advice which one he should opt for.

I use AK400 on my i5 12400, its more than enough for it. Gaming temps are 60C average, during Cinebench R23 run it goes to 70C. My cabinet is Lancool II Mesh, so inferior airflow cabinet will result in higher temps, also ambient temps plays a role. AG400 is considered same but inferior aesthestics, so should be enough.

That CM choice seems expensive IMO, I bought AK400 for 2.4k from amazon a year ago.

Amazon sale starts on 9th, so can wait for it.

Spectrum v3 is currently available for around 2200 on amazon and vedant whereas ag400 for 1800. The chap is slightly biased towards CM as his experience with his prev. CM Cooler has been quite good.

Your call. CM coolers are old. AK400 can handle 150W CPUs as well, Deepcool made them pretty good, much better than their old Gammax series. Honestly any single tower single fan cooler can cool i5 12400, provided case has sufficient airflow.
