On-Access scanner is very strong which includes Network shield and Web shield too. Regarding AVG's Spware scanning abilities, I am not sure how efficient it is. I would still consider a full fledge spware software like Counter Spy or Windows Defender than taking risk with combined version AVG 7.5 which you are recommending.

im not talking only abt avg free(antivirus) ,im talkin abt grisoft's avg 7.5 internet security suite
avg 7.5 has been released officially
its no more a beta & it is a complete product
grisoft has bought ewido therefore it is usin ewido's expertise in its
anti-spyware & it is very good
so now it can be bought
i liked the beta though
