Hi Guys

I am a planning to buy a new mobile under(around) 20k and have zerod on Lenovo Vibe Z K910 for the following reasons,

1. Its a snapdragon 800 processor (hard to find in under 20k mark phones).
2. Has a full hd display (1080p) with 401 ppi and IPS display (quiet good).
3. Has a 13 MP rear and 5 MP front camera (again hard to find in this price range and the reviews are also good on internet.)
4. A 2GB ram with dedicated GPU (A380 I believe though not sure).
5. The price has been slashed down and was launched as a flagship device (for around 36k).
6. Its the same company which currently manufactures the moto series.

though the bads for the phone are
1. 16 Gb storage only.
2. Lot of bloatware (not a stock anroid phone, noway near a pure anroid experience).
3. 5.5 " screen (quiet big a downer for some people).

I would like to know your opinions on the above and first hand experiences if any, also if anyone can suggest a more competitive phone at this price range.

Thanks in advance.

Any guess when is that gonna happen

1-2 months i guess
i suggest you wait and see unless you really need it urgently
though i must admit 64 bit has a long way ahead before it can replace 32bit
even iphones have issues with 64bit-32bit app compatibility despite 64bit debuting around a year ago on ios
so i think 64 bit will become the norm in 2-3 years minimum not earlier
It was the same scenario with computers,64 bit became the norm only when windows 7 was released even though XP 64-bit existed way before
also 32 bit potential itself hasnt been reached yet,its the same with the 3g-4g arguement

though the advantage of a 64 bit soc will be future updates, not because of the 64 bit soc itself

alternatives include-Moto X 2013,Moto G 2014,Nexus 5,One Plus One,HTC Desire 820,816g,LG G3 Stylus
personally I would avoid Lenovo ,not that its bad or anything but dev support etc is a concern
I suggest you try and get a hands on first

I think you are right about the dev support for lenovo, but I wont be needing it much , I can root reroot and flash by ROMs so that wont be a problem(I mean I know how to do these things), and if compared to the alternatives I think Lenovo has got better specs in just about every field (except memory),
What are your opinions....

I dont think there are many roms for it,only 1-2 ones thats the only concern overall
specs and build quality seem good

Hmm

Ya that a concern for me as well, have seen people complaining about the software (the UI as well as the one which we need to install on our computers to communicate with the Mobile.)

Well I am a noob as far as mobiles are concerned I do know a bit about processors and computers and my research was only directed towards under 20k mobiles and there I found lenovo vibe z to be providing with the best specs (I do not know how the phone will behave in real world but its the best on papers).

All I am looking for is someone who has had first hand experience with the mobile and share his experience with me.

If you don't want any custom support at all then there's no point in thinking about buying the VZ. It'll suit you.
Good specs on paper? Yes, that was the exact reason why my nephew bought the Asus ZenPhone 5, and he's damn happy with it too. It's indeed a good phone. I hate any type of custom layers on the top of Android but even I can say they have done a brilliant job customising the UI, so I'm quite sure Lenovo won't fcuk up either.
Keep reading GSMA page of the phone.

PS : Please disregard my comment, as I don't have any personal experience with the phone at all.

Got the lenovo vibe Z k910 today from FlipKart and I must say it looks good, the build qualiy is superb and display is crystal clear though the sound is just OK (at max, some may say inferior to other phones).

Happy with my buy...........

Well I have used this product(Lenovo Vibe Z K 910L) for about two weeks now and here is my impression of it.

The Good
1.Display, with a 1080p clearity is awesome, color reproduction is good(neutral colors not tweaked to look warmer or cooler), with 401 ppi no real issues there.
2.Battery, with my usage (fairly light only calls and a few youtube videos/mp3 music a day, no games), lasts for about two days
3.Charging Speed, using the box charger(which came with the handset) it charges fast and is good.
4.No heating issues as such (thought it gets mildly warm while charging)
5.Performance, handled almost everything I had to throw at it (Asphalt 8 at high settings, multitasking) with ease (you expect this with SD800 and 2GB Ram).
6.Camera, day light performance in picks and videos are very good (lots of detail), no complaints there, front camera at 5MP is also good.

The Bad
1.Camera performance in low light, if you are not a pro in using the advanced camera settings the software gives you the images are decent at best.
also the image quality does not justify the 13 MP printed spec and not at par with a Lumia or Sony
2.The size, at 5.5" screen is not a single hand device by any means (although Lenovo did an amazing job at making it a slim and a light product).
3.Sound, sound through external speakers is pretty low and the overall sound quality is certainly will not please an audiophile (me being one, tested using sennheiser cx 400 ii)

The Ugly
1.Memory, Memory, Memory , what good is a 13MP camera and 1080p display if you dont have an extendable memory and are restricted to 16 GB.
2.UI, Seriously they made a mess over there, nowhere even close to a stock android.
