Asus fonepad promixity sensor problem

Dear All

I've recently purchased Asus Fonepad me175cg.

The only problem which im facing is of Promixity sensor

During incoming an outgoing phone call the screen goes black..i know its due to promixity sensor.

I want to turn of this sensor. i cannt access my phone book or other in-call functions. i searched but it is resulting in hardware changes. i dont wanna make any changes on my own.

Kindly assist me. i dont want to use this sensor.

AFAIK, you can't turn the sensor off. if you want to access the phone book, move the tab away from your ear and then click the power on button slightly. the screen should turn on again.

I tried pressing the power button slightly..but its not working. and more over after the call is completed from the other end , the device is not displaying anything.

and i cannot end call from my end?

plz advice
