ASUS has announced that they will be changing the MSRPs of all PC components including graphics cards and motherboards in 2021. Following is the message posted by ASUS:

Update regarding MSRP pricing for ASUS components in 2021.
This update applies to graphics cards and motherboards*
We have an announcement in regards to MSRP price changes that are effective in early 2021 for our award-winning series of graphic cards and motherboards. Our new MSRP reflects increases in cost for components. operating costs, and logistical activities plus a continuation of import tariffs. We worked closely with our supply and logistic partners to minimize price increases. ASUS greatly appreciates your continued business and support as we navigate through this time of unprecedented market change.
*additional models may see an increase as we moved further into Q1.

ASUS has cited several reasons behind the increase in prices for the said PC components. These include the increased cost of components that are required to assemble the finished product, an increase in operating cost, logistic activities, and the continuation of import tariffs. We have to take into consideration that the world is still not COVID-free and the pandemic ceases to exist. As such, shipping and logistics has become a major issue for every major vendor. ASUS is the first one to announce a price increase officially but from the looks of it, other manufacturers would follow suit since they also rely on the same means for their own product lineups.

We are already seeing a massive price increase on all ASUS GeForce RTX 30 series and Radeon RX 6000 series graphics cards. The Radeon RX 6800 XT ROG STRIX LC variant, for example, was priced at $899.99 US at launch over at Newegg but is now listed for a price of $1079.99 US. The same is true for the TUF Gaming model which was priced at $809.99 US but is now listed for $969.99 US. The non-XT Radeon RX 6800 ROG STRIX is currently listed for $839.99 US which is a $260 US worth of premium over the reference MSRP.

Not only Asus, this is going to happen for all companies.

All electronics items are going to be costly from 2021.

WHF increased. People who were not buying desktops/laptops are buying now.

I saw news of DELL/HP having pending order that would take them end of 2021 to fulfill.

You have to buy those H/W for supporting your job then what choice do you have.
People who were going to upgrade may think twice if the upgrade is really needed.

And the situation with China, making this even tough. The alternate countries Korea, Japan etc sells same things but costs much.
So, yeah. This is it.

Isn't this about US? The tax exemptions are going to end in 2021 for US.

Either way sellers here will find a way to gouge prices quoting this..
Yeah that is what many people are expecting here from Indian retailers.

Is there any news from other country that they are going to increase prices since US prices are increased? That could give us a hint.
