Both the boards are fine for general usage. Check if any of these have a service center in your area. MSI had really bad after sales service until last year. If you are going with MSI, then there is a MSI rep on subreddit r/IndianGaming. You can contact him in case you are having difficult time while going through MSI RMA process.
not every board from these motherboard manufacturer are good, or every mobo is bad. Some models are better than the rest. If you are overclocking and have budget constraints, mention here then forum member might be able to suggest a good model for you.

Depends on the mobo, but generally AsRock mobos are good, but Asus & MSI are usually better. Like AsRock apparently has bad Z490 mobos (might not be all models as well), point raised initially by Hardware Unboxed due to poor VRM performance with OC'd i9. Similarly initial MSI X570 mobos had bad VRMs as well.

Now in the above, not all boards are equally good or bad. Low end asus board compete with asrock etc.

There have been lots of complaints regarding its after sales in recent times. So IMO, no brand is at the top, decide based on the mobo model, performance & price from Asus, MSI, Gigabyte & AsRock

It comes to the quality of VRMs and Mosfets used.
Many brands are using doublers for their medium end and low end components.
While Asrock motherboards which are not even top tier are ranked exceptionally when we compare it with Asus & MSI like OEMs.

Yes really. As per an industry insider in Nehru Place giga has the least failure %. I have used Giga almost always no issues for years not one BSOD or unexplained reboot. Got one AsRock and BSODs/random reboots is common from day 1. AsRock and other cheaper brands do pack a lot of features for what they charge for and maybe that is why they are popular these days. To each his own thoughLike really!!!

Hmm I damaged mobo pins of my Giga G31 years ago and the board was out of warrantee. I gave it for repair in auth Giga sc in Nehru Place and they gave me a replacement (used working mobo) in 4/5 days not asking for any money. Maybe things are different today. My current AsRock is crap. Multiple BSODs reboots are common from day ! and it is a mining board lmao!

i too have good experience of gigabyte motherboards in the past till some 11 years back. also i have used an ancient one 81915 with Pentium 4 (first gen) from 2008 to 2020 continuously for more than 5 hours everyday without any problem in the board. this same board was used in multiple computers in my last office.
Talking about ancient I still have my first pc. Mercury 845GL motherboard with a Pentium 4 processor ( 478 pin ), 40GB Seagate HDD and 2x 512 MB Zion DDR ram
It's not in assembled condition but once or twice I use it just the sake for running it.Anyway, coming back to the topic I think Asrock and Asus are the best next comes Gigabyte and then MSI.

I have another one, my first one - a PIII on Mercury KOB 815 FSX, 256MB RAM & 40GB IDE HDD. unfortunately the cabinet developed some problem so haven't tested it in a long time but when I started using P4 3GHZ on 81915, it was working.
