I find the 8GB FUP ceiling in my current plan - BSNL 900 ULD - way too low.

I have a neighbour who is on the exact same plan of 799/-

Speeds are decent and then there is the FUP to consider.
They use a motorola surfboard modem to give internet over BNC cable.
The modem is connected to the PC via ethernet CAT5.

There is a stupid login scheme (ala Reliance Comm) everytime you have
to use the internet. This is a web based authentication and if you signout
your net access is discontinued.

If you can live with this, uptimes are pretty decent. They did mention having
better plans than 4mbps but they are expensive and the FUP is pretty low.

I too was looking to shift to ASK(canara star) broadband,but avoided.You know why?
It's because their connection sucks,I the ask broadband omni go past my lane almost every 2 weeks, this is because their connections probably suck.If you wan't it,then you can try it but i'd suggest you get Airtel amazing service, all issues solved within a few hours

A bit pricey but good 1249 2 mbps 30 gig FUP.
Also try to contact the local airtel office, for area specific plan.There was one offer for 649 - 2 MBPS - 25 Gig - 512 kbps post

how about bsnl evdo? I hear it has no FUP, is it correct?

I called bsnl, was told i can request for a demo to check the speed. is evdo connection stable, does it drop frequently?

EVDO seems good.If you are a gamer then maybe avoid it,or else get it
