Racist comment is: All *** country people are violent(made by a person from another country). If on a foreign forum, that's a racist comment. I am not sure what if an Indian does it.
Racist comment is: All *** AVs are stealing people's data(made by a person from another country).
Not Racist comment is: All cheap chinese imitations of iPhones have poor quality compared to original iPhone(made by a person from another country).
1.This is not a formal place where people argue with their data sets & excel files.Closest thing to a formal place like this is debate section where if any topic comes up pitting Indian AVs vs foreign AVs I would have given "supporting data"(which btw @SaiyanGoku has already mentioned here). It doesn't fair well to have comments like this on any forum, Indian or abroad. Mainly because
1. Claimer who made the comment has not provided any supporting data
2. Claimer is not a known security software expert ( no credentials to varify otherwise )
3. No mention about any comparison studies made on the topic
I say this just because Claimer used the term Indian AV. That is racist, for sure. What if someone launched an AV today, which is at par with leading AVs ? I don't mind if someone says that one or more than one brand of AV is junk, bad according to his / her personal opinion. It is common style in some foreign forums to term anything Indian as sub standard. Freelancers, graphic designers, developers and so on.
Let us not do this ourselves.
2.If that is the standard then we can delete this thread because no one here is in league of Eugene Kaspersky so nobody here(or most of the online places on Internet) has the right to comment or present their views on any AV.
3.See 1 above.
So as per you if a chinese citizen makes a statement that "avoid cheap chinese iphone imitations" then he is being a racist.
