11. Any specific mobile phones in consideration? - Sony Xperia ZR, Samsung Galaxy S3, don't have much idea about LG phones (except Nexus, which exceeds my budget). And Micromax and XOLO doesn't have any promising contenders from those that I know of.

12. Any other info that you want to share - I'm looking for the best performer. So, I've considered only Quad core processors, 2GB RAM if possible, expecting a really good camera. Hoping for a tank of a phone (that's why Xperia ZR), no issues with phone post purchase or good service. In short, the best in performance around Rs25000.

In your requirement set, the best fit is the Xperia ZR. You could also consider the ZL with its 1080p screen, and the cheaper N4, but i would go with the ZR. Good battery, elements protection, 2 GB RAM, and a better camera than the N4.

Go for the Xperia ZR........this one doesn't break. There have been issues with the Z and ZL cracking in people's pocket, the screen would just crack if too much pressure was applied.

Really?? ZL screen cracks in pocket..never heard...please give link to the source ....
Xperia Z's back glass gets crack if fall down but that problem is not there in ZL

LOL I have even cracked my nokia 3110's 2 inch screen in pant pocket soo a 4.5 inch+ screen is much more vulnerable

If waterproof and 4.5 inch is what you want then get ZR else for the same price and same dimension you are getting a 5 inch full HD display in ZL ...
