Hello everyone, long story short, ruined my LG L9, need a new phone, similar budget, decent performance.

1. Budget?
And: 10-20k. Such an extended range because I'm considering phones like Asus Zenfone 5 as well as the Nexus 5

2. Display type and size?
Ans: Touchscreen. 4.7" or larger

3. Dual sim?
Ans: Yes, if available. Not a necessity

4. Preferred choice of brand?
Ans: Preferably established brands like Motorola. Asus is ok, not too keen on getting Xiaomi , I don't want RMA woes :(

5. What camera option you want (flash, front facing camera)>
Ans: Good camera would be preferred :)

6. Preferred operating system? (Android, iOS, Windows Phone, etc)?
Ans: Android . Really like pure android offered by Moto G, Moto X

7. Preferred connectivity options (3G, 4G ready)
Ans: 3G would suffice.

8. Primary use of handset (multimedia, camera, internet, gaming etc)
Ans: Won't lie,Browsing and Facebook Twitter Instagram Quora stuff mostly. Watching videos quite often.

9. Any specific mobile phones in consideration?
Ans: Far too many :( Sorting in ascending order of their price

Asus Zenfone 5
Moto G2
Xperia SP
Xiaomi Mi3
Moto X 2013
Nexus 5

Inclined towards Moto X 2013 because it houses decent specs, powerful proc and decent screen with 316ppi, and its price now at 18k seems like a really good deal. plain Android looks really good. Motorola can be trusted to provide better service than Xiaomi at the moment.

10. Any other info that you want to share?
Ans: The phone should be reliable, no UI issues, decent battery, decent battery.

Moto X owners, or those who have personally used one, your personal opinions will be highly appreciated :)

Mi3 is discontinued..... just for your info....

Moto X 2013 is a good choice.... I've used my friend's Moto X, it's good & you'll love it, especially with wooden panel

How about this one ?
Deal 46 NEW Imported Samsung Galaxy S4 16GB | eBay
or this
DOW Brand NEW Imported Sony Xperia Z White Color | eBay
No warranty in both & both would get Android 5.0 upgrade (S4 would get it sooner & is a better phone overall)

No I cannot go for a phone with out warranty :(

Nexus 5 is 6k costlier, camera isn't really a priority for me, I'm more than happy with 720p display and Krait, just that the Nexus 5 looks really good, but I cannot think of any other advantage for which I should spend another 6k.

How's the battery on the Nexus 5? mah doesn't really tell the whole story :(

Buy N5 flash a custom kernel and you can even get 4 to 6 hours of screen on time.

Nexus 5 isnt the best in terms of battery life but for an android device, its pretty good and gives a day of basic calls, texts ,whatsapp ,browsing etc(excluding gaming ie )

Check out Xperia ZR....... Good camera + battery life + lollypop upgrade
Error 500 Server Error
Its only con is a bit inferior display, but i guess you won't notice, it would be a upgrade for you........ For 17k, it's a great device....

After using Nexus 4 & reading about Nexus 5's battery, I'm not gonna buy a Nexus next time (Xperia/Galaxy)

sigh people get extra excited for no reason when such brands show up
first it was MMX,then Xolo , then xiaomi now its huwaei
huwaei is best avoided imho

Huawei is better than Xiaomi for sure......... Micromax is a good company now......

What i have observed is that many people at TDF hate Samsung & MMX (and many more), even though those two are good companies (MMX still has servicing issues but their build quality has improved over the years)

U got the order all wrong..

Huawei is very old in this business, largest telecom equipment maker in the world. Maybe relatively new in the mobile-making business.

Exactly. After Lenovo, Huawei is the most trustworthy mobile manufacturer.
