AMD reveals the specifications of their upcoming Ryzen + Vega 2000G series CPUs
AMD has published the final specs of their soon to be released Ryzen 3 2200G and 2400G CPUs, offering a clear upgrade over the company's existing Ryzen 3 1200 and Ryzen 5 1400 CPUs, delivering higher CPU clock speeds and an integrated Vega graphics component.

The main difference between AMD's existing Ryzen products and their new 2000G-series replacements is the inclusion of a Vega graphics component, delivering a lot of extra value given AMD's almost identical pricing to their previous generation counterparts. Aside from this, these new CPUs will also offer a notable boost in CPU clock speeds, enhanced memory support and precision boost 2 technology. These changes will make the 2000G series a compelling offering on both the CPU and GPU performance fronts.

It must be noted that while this product is listed as a 2000-series product, these CPU/GPU combos are not using AMD's Ryzen 2nd Generation (Zen+) architecture, being built on 14nm and not 12nm. Even so, these units do benefit from Precision Boost 2 and enhanced memory performance/support, making it much easier to utilise high-speed memory on AMD's upcoming processors.
Both the CPU and GPU components of this APU are overclockable, allowing AMD users to push their integrated GPU's clock speeds to achieve some excellent gaming performance. While this performance is nowhere near as high as a dedicated gaming graphics card, it is much higher than anything that is offered by Intel.
