I have decided to buy AMD X2 4600+ (Rs.6250) is it 65 nm or 90nm.
And mobo ASUS M2A-VM HDMI.

Also if AMD X2 4800+ is 65 nm can i go for it ? Is it better than 4600+ in performance.
My budget for mobo & processor is 12000.

4800+ is 65nm, 4600+ isn't. the speed diff. is just 100MHz, but 4800+ beaing brisbane(65nm) runs cooler, quieter and consumes less power. so go for 4800+

i bought amd x2 4800 about 15 days back for rs. 6300...go for that anyday...its 65nm and when my a.c is on at idle the cpu temp as low as 29 degree celcius...and without ac in this hot hot kolkata weather under load its 46 degree celcius...

this is wat i bought with prices: i had ordered for amd x2 5200+(2mb cache) for rs. 8500..i had specifically asked for 65w tdp model so the dealer told her would find for me and deliver it...but he did not find 65w tdp model then...as i couldnt wait i went for amd x2 4800 as amd x2 5000+(1mb cache) was only 100 mhz faster and the price is 7600 and it doesnt make any sense...so i went for the following:

1) amd x2 4800 (65nm)- 6300
2) asus m2a-vm - 4100
3) 1 gb ddr2 ram 667 mhz - 2400 (kingston) (paid 200 rs extra for 3 yr dealer warranty)
4) 160 gb hard disk - 2250
5) navtech cabinet - 1900 (with 500w smps)

total 19300 and after tax 20000/-

i will put extra 1gb ram after a month or so when i buy an external gpu...
right now my system rocks ...its as smooth as anything...no problem watsoeva...highly recommended processor..
