AMD ATHLON II vs AMD PHENOM II

Is AMD PHENOM II X2 550 BE better than AMD Athlon II X4 620?
Please help me to choose the right one. It's mainly for Gaming and other multimedia work.

The Phenom II 550BE comes with L3 cache which is missing in the Athlon II X4 and it is also clocked lesser than the PII. However, since the future applications and games will demand more cores than raw GHz, the Athlon II X4 is a better option. If you are anyways going to upgrade sooner than later, then the 550 is a better processor.

Hi,
I am getting a machine for 21000.
AMD Ath X2 Dual 64 7750 2000 MHz FSB, 2.7 GHz, (MOBO DONT KNOW), 2 GB Ram, 320 SATA II, Wireless KeyB Mouse, Speakers 2.1, 20" LCD, DVD Writer.
Is it good both config and price? I will be doing hardcore MS Office work, Internet surfing, and play FIFA soccer game.

Hey Ypschita...First of all i would like to say don't get wireless keyboard and mouse. It's Disgusting to change batteries. Don't know about proccy, but others r good. I must say u to go for Mobo with good onboard graphics...Best of luck....
