alternate mobo

k guys..im upgrading my pc to the athlon 64 and was suggested to go gor the ASUS A8N-VM/CSM-NBP.(with onboard Geforce 6150).. since i wanted the extreme onboard graphics...but now that i have planned to go for the standalone Geforce 7600GS..hence the onboard graphics is now not that much important to me...

so can anyone suggest me a much cheaper mobo for the athlon 64(either in asus,msi,etc)to cut down on the cost...
suggest me boards both with onboard graphics as well as without one pls...

without onboard gfx.....go 4 Foxconn or ECS nforce 4 ultra ones...they r cheap n the performance easily matches the best ones.

i have;nt heard of the brand ECS here in chennai..anyways rahul,when u say its without onboard graphics,wats the nforce4 stand for then???

nForce 4 Ultra is the chipset,not the onboard graphics.

ASUS A8N-E is a pretty fast mobo. It will cost around 5500/- but lacks onboard graphics card. Its a mobo based on nForce4 chipset.

(you can think of it as the Northbridge's version)

my god..!!u sure abt the prices guys???even the A8N-VM/CSM-NBP WITH ONBOARD GRAPHICS costs only Rs.4500 odds... how come the A8N-E costs more??

my chief reason for optin out for another mobo is for a cheaper solution with the same facilities of the A8N-VM/CSM such as one or more SATA ports,pci-e ports,8 USB 2.0 ports,good FSB etc etc.....as im burin extra cash for the GEFORCE 7600GS...the new cheaper mobo may have onboard graphics (which obviosly will be lower) or not...as long as it does not compromise on other factors...
pls..im already pissed off with the delay in my upgrade.....:(

and comparing the A8N-CM/VSM NBP *in.asus.com/products4.aspx?modelmenu=2&model=1127&l1=3&l2=15&l3=281
with the A8N-E
*in.asus.com/products4.aspx?modelmenu=2&model=455&l1=3&l2=15&l3=171
it seems the latter is missing the IEEE1394 PORT....is it anythin vital???
