Airline Refund policy in India

Recently I booked a ticket from ClearTrip.com for around Rs 4000. and the flight was AirIndia.
But due to some unavoidable circumstances I had to cancel my booking.
And after cancellation, to my surprise the Refund amount was Rs 0/-

So, it was as good as Flight missed for me

why the heck the refund system is so bad.

there is a flat 2000 Rs deduction for each flight. Its just how it is, unfortunately. Every country has this, you pay for a better service.

Yes it was connecting flight of AirIndia
