Hi all,
I am a student and I am planning to buy a new laptop/workstation. My budget is Rs. 1,00,000-1,20,000. Since I am pursuing B.Tech in CSE with specialization in Cloud Computing and Virtualization Technologies, I will mainly use the laptop/workstation to set up private cloud, set up multiple VMs, work on Hyper V and stuff. Also, i am thinking of doing my major project on IaaS, virtualize the hardware of my workstation so that I can run CPU and memory intensive programs on other laptops using the virtualized resources of my system. Now that you've got an idea of what I intend to do,let me list the questions:-
1) For my work, do I need a workstation or a Rs.50,000-1,00,000 laptop will do?
2) If I need a workstation, please suggest the best I can get within my budget. If I need a laptop please suggest some with their price in INR.
3) Do I need to make some changes in configuration of your suggested laptop/workstation, increase ram and stuff to suit my work?
