Advice needed for using desktop as a TV

Hi friends
I am from Bangalore.There is a local cablewala providing internet and cable TV in my area
I recently bought a Intel 3.2 GHz LGA 1150 4570 i5 processor on a Gigabyte GA-B85-D3H Motherboard with 8GB RAM.

I would like to use a Dell 19.5 ' monitor as a TV (would be watching TV at spare time approx 2-3 hours per day).

Please suggest what hardware do I need to buy to used the monitor as a TV.

My budget is around INR 2-3K.

all you need is same video input port in monitor & same video output port in set top box provided by digital cable provider.however monitors usually don't have the most common/basic video input port(A/V in) but almost all of them now-a-days have hdmi port so check with your cable provider if he supplies hdmi set top box(of course at a premium).
