A laptop for a gamer going to law school. HELP(110k budget)

1) What is your budget? 110k at max or 1700$

2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?
Thin and Light; 12" - 14" screen
Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen.. But atleast a 13''

3) What are the primary tasks you will be performing with this notebook?
Moderate gaming(Dota 2, CS GO, Skyrim, COD, DA Inquisition, Thief).. Watching movies(So the screen must be excellent).. Internet browsing and other normal usage.. No graphics designing or video editing or rendering any complex stuff or photoshopping

5) Any typical configuration in your mind you're eying for ?
A 900M graphics card would be appreaciated but i can settle for 870M. I require a SSD too.. 120gb atleast.. for os and major applications.. 1TB 7200rpm disk or 750gb atleast.. And I think the budget also asks for an i7..a 4710mq atleast.. Keyboard must be backlit and the build quality should be good.. metal casing highly preferred.

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?
No brand issues but warranty is compulsory. I am a clumsy guy and tend to break things so it must be serviceable and I am not tech savvy enough to open screws and do stuff.

6) Anything else you would like to say?
Screen resolution- Full HD. Preferably IPS. Again, screen is a priority(the reason why I haven't already bought a y50)
Battery back up- I don't really care. I will always have it plugged in. But 2 hours is the minimum I guess.
Purchase place- Online is good. I am open to importing provided that the customs fee added doesn't cross my budget. I am also looking at AZOM. I like the laptop. Can someone who has bought from them vouch for the after sales service?

And thanks guys in advance for all the help!

Can you extend to 127k? Alienware(I know it's known to be overpriced) has released a 970m laptop with 15.6'' screen for 127k which is pretty darn cheap. Build quality is great too. Before anyone asks; this is the online price in Dell India.

Otherwise your options are Azom, MSI, Asus or a y50 with replaced screen. Although a y50 with new screen will be cheap than Asus, Msi build quality is not at par. Then comes Azom; great value for money configs but no customer trust.

I have asked for a quote. Let's see what they say. :)

- - - Updated - - -

I got a call from Azom after about half an hour of asking for a quote. He took my requirements, but unfortunately the gaming model with lowest specs still costs 87k including taxes. So I guess my friend will go for Envy or Y50.
For anybody who's interested in Azom, they are also listed on Amazon. You can check the config here. They offered me this laptop without the SSD for 87k. It does look VFM to me, especially considering that the laptop is completely upgradable. They can upgrade anything on the laptop including the CPU and GPU the way you upgrade a desktop. The one above has a 870M but they also have options for 970M and 980M. Lastly they also offer pan-India doorstep replacement. If anyone wants a gaming laptop and has the budget, do give them a call.
And thanks for this suggestion SaiyanGoku, though I cannot take it.

870M for 87k. 970M version shouldn't cost more than 105k. OP can do a ram or m.2 ssd upgrade with the money left.

Definitely the Exigo is more VFM, but as per OP's needs I'd recommend the Alienware, other than the fact it is out of his budget lol.

rohan- I looked at the Alienware. And I might be able to extend to that budget but they are not offering any SSD's and the hard drive is 5400rpm too. Looks sucky to me.(for 127k that is)

And guys.. I did get a quote from azom..here it is-

Laptop - Exigo
Display - 15.6” Full-HD 1920x1080 16:9 Matte (anti-glare)

The specs look bang for the buck according to me. Do you guys recommend going for this?

The specs are great, the manufacturer is great(Clevo) build is sturdy but no one on the forum has bought from Azom like ever. So the after sales service is dubitable. Speak with a rep from Azom and if they instill confidence go for it. Nothing can beat this machine for the money.

And 870m is last gen now, you can extend to 110k so better look at 970m yeah? Best to ask for a quote compare and then decide.

I think 1TB HDD @ 7200 rpm is the standard config for clevo laptops now, better bargain about it. :D
Ask for single 8 GB RAM instead of 2x4 Gb ones. It would be better if you wanted to upgrade to 16 GB in the future as you'll require only one extra 8 GB ram.
120/128 GB SSD should do. 240 GB would be too much. Do get 970M instead of 870M.

And current gen Crapbooks are non touchscreen tablets with keyboards. Not worth spending over 35k.
