I just got an ASUS 320 and as usual I am on a storage space crunch so I want to get the maximum possible space in one go. I plan to get an 8GB MicroSDHC but considering that P320 is already a phone with a paltry 200MHz processor and 64 MB RAM, I am not sure if it will properly support an 8GB card. The support site of ASUS says that the highest supported capacity card is 8GB. I want to know if anyone here has tried this or knows the possible impact of such a storage upgrade? In short...

Will putting an 8GB micorSD HC in ASUS P320 slow it down?

Will putting an 8GB micorSD HC in ASUS P320 have an adverse impact on the battery?

Will putting an 8GB micorSD HC in ASUS P320 hit the performance in any other way?

If you do not think that this will be a great idea, please suggest whay is the maximum capacity storage card that I should use?

4. now here the real story begins do u really need 8 gb or u just want to try tht ur phone does supports 8gb sdhc cards .if u need thn its ok ...go ahead n if u only want to try thn let me tell u tht this phone supports even 16 gb sdhc cards(maximum available in market i think)

copy pasted frm gsmarena.com
"phone supports SDHC, so do not worry abt the max memory card capacity it supports... it supports high density cards.. it can support 32GB or even more if it is available& if it is a sdhc.

* Make sure u ask for a MicroSD. (Telling micro is a must or u end up buying bigger one which wont fit)
*Then make sure u ask for SDHC.It means its a high density card.

I am using a 8gb class 2 card and is doing perfect..So do not worry abt max capacity, it supports any capacity SDHC card u throw at it...

Hmm, I do want as much storage as I can get provided it does not waste the phone. Even 32 GB will be OK (Heck even my iPod Classic 160 GB is not enuf) But on the ASUS site it says that max supported card size is 8 GB (Sandisk) Dunno why they mention company) I am gonna go for 8GB only.

Which company's memory card do you have?
Where did you buy it and when?
For how much?

yes will do it once I get the card coz rite now i have kingmax card and the firmware release notes say that upgrading using kingmax card is not recommended. I might use my sister's 1GB sandisk car for that.
