1) What is your budget? 70k - 1.2 lakh


2) What size & weight consideration (if any) would you prefer?

• Mainstream; 15" - 16" screen

3) What are the primary tasks you will be performing with this notebook?

• Media Consumption - Netflix/VLC etc.
• Heavy Web Surfing - (Think 100+ tabs)
• Software development - Java, Golang, Python
• No gaming.
• Dual booting Linux and Windows.

5) Any typical configuration in your mind you're eying for ?

• I'm thinking Ryzen 5 Pro processor
• 16-32GB RAM (I can upgrade myself later on)
• SSD (I already have a Crucial MX500 1TB HDD - would be good if it can be reused, but not necessary - I'll just convert it to an external HDD otherwise)

4) Are there any brands that you prefer or any you really don't like?

• I'm brand agnostic, but I do want good service and hardware quality (1-2 business day onsite service in India, 3 years warranty)

6) Anything else you would like to say?

• Battery life - minimum 5+ hours. The more the better.
• Fingerprint sensor would be nice
• Backlit keyboard
• Purchase place - Either Amazon, or Official website, or locally in city Dehradun, or abroad in Belgium.

This can be considered. There's a different variant of K15 which has a 2.5" HDD + SSD, so maybe you can reuse your MX500. I'm not 100% sure about RAM slots either, expect 8GB onboard soldered with 1 slot populated with 8GB stick. Buy an extended warranty for another 2 years. Asus had international warranty, better check before committing. Dell surely has an international warranty in pro plus warranty or something.

Just take some precautions for OLED, like auto-hide taskbar & screensavers. Burn-in may happen after years of usage, but better take precautions.

Belgium might have more options at similar or cheaper price.
