64 bit os in 32 bit system

last day i was shocked to see a 64 bit win7 in one of my friends' 32 bit laptop... how is it possible

How do you know that the processor doesn't support 64bit??

And if you are confirm that the processor is 32bit proccesor, then just state how did you verified the OS is 32bit.

Remember, the Properties window can be changed

Tons of threads on this. The processor is a 64-bit one. amd64 to be specific.
