55 inch TV For World Cup 2023

2 years back I was considering LG Nanocell worth 70k but bad online reviews pushed me away. Just check if it's not the same case and marketting gimmick, better be worth paying extra money over their normal UHD LED TV.

Vu masterpiece lineup was quite good. Consider this over Nanocell imo.

Yes

But still Indian Hisense U7K is better than Vu Masterpiece based on reviews I watched.

Also, LG A2 55" is 70k on FK with ICICI CC. That trumps the rest easily unless you have a very bright room.

It is costing 78,500 on ICICI CC offer. Techie Beez said don't consider anything less than C2 series for LG OLED.

Still thinking about Hisense U7K mini-LED buy it or not. I consider good contrast and sharp picture quality at most.

My neighbour has 65 inch Vu masterpiece QLED and he is using from 1.5 yrs since it's an old model. IDK what happened to vu by not updating this model.
I didn't find anything exiciting in that TV. Motionflow is great. HDR films were nice. Not good contrast as expected. Not at all Sony like wow factor.

At normal price of 100k+ for 55" for A series, it is worth paying 20k extra for C series or even B series which suspiciously missing these days. It has a good review by rtings.com, not good for bright rooms for sure though. My friend wanted to buy it, so I researched a bit on it yesterday, couldn't see any other negative point for this TV.

At 70k, IMO A2 55" was a great choice. Sadly OOS now

How to get A2 OLED in 70k? It is showing 78500 on ICICI CC.

Where is A2 55" listed at 78k? Let me know. Even at 80k, its a good choice. I have recommended my friend to get 48" A2 from amazon for 56.5k after SBI CC discount.

On FK, it was listed at 78k, then with instant bank discount with ICICI the final price was 70k two days back.

I applied ICICI credit card and it is showing 79,999 for LG OLED A2 55 inch. But after getting to know it has poor brightness and 60Hz panel I am confused. Because 80k is big amount and there should no compromise. Youtuber Techie Beez suggested to not buy anything below LG C2 for OLED TV.

As I mentioned, unless you have a bright room, A2 is still great. Apparently A2 55" is available in certain pincodes in North India.

My monitor, Asus TUF VG27AQL1A has a peak brightness of 300+ nits for SDR & minimum brightness of 76 nits acc. to rtings.com. I mostly use my monitor at 10% brightness level, sometimes keep it at 30% at day time if I am watching some movie or in dark games like Dying Light 2. My room is relatively darker than normal. Even on 250nit monitors I have never used 100% brightness in general. My parent's new house has very bright rooms, there I use 250nit monitors at 100% brightness as sun hits the screen directly in the afternoon but I lower it significantly at other times. So for non bright rooms, I don't think 120nits as 100% sustained HDR brightness will be an issue, nor will 160nits for SDR.

Anyways, your call.

Monitors are different from TVs. As per techie beez HDR TV brightness should be at least 500 nits to feel the HDR videos otherwise it is a gimmick. For SDR I think 250 nits are more than enough.

Yes, but no OLED TV can hit 500nits at 100% sustained in HDR brightness test. It hits those in 50% window or smaller, which is totally fine as well. Per pixel dimming & infinite contrast makes OLED the best panel for HDR easily, these two compensates a lot for lower brightness, esp the infinite contrast ratio.

I watch Vineet & Technibeez, but I don't trust their technical know how, rtings.com is a much superior source.

Just see the difference in sustained brightness. Even a top OLED TV is not recommended for very bright rooms, but will suffice in above average bright rooms.

They recommend the Sony for bright rooms:
