I don't have any idea about type. Preferred IPS. Size: 24" to 28".

3. Primary use of Tv/monitor?

4. Ports Required?
I have Sapphire AMD/ATI Radeon Dual-X R9 270X 2GB Graphics Card and planning to use for TV casually along with the monitor. If monitor supports, Picture in Picture, that will be great.

5. Preferred choice of brand?
With maximum warranty or option of extended warranty.

I primarily use it for development on Hackintosh (macOS Sierra). My bro plays games on Windows.
