17" TFT Samsung or LG plz suggest

hi frens planning to buy a 17" TFT
which one will be good by brand name?
Samsung or LG plz suggest. also suggest the price.

I said by brand name bcoz i have samung DVD ROM (the Digit One) & it is just a waste. (door & lens problem.)

I'll sugguest you to buy LG rather than Samsung because lot's of Samsung moniters have driver spporting problem. Even myself have a Samsung moniter and my driver doesn't support properly. I'm running it in plug & play mood.

In monitor category, Samsung SyncMaster is the best. Don't get biased by a particular category. To keep it's market presence felt, companies have to make products in every categories which sometimes lacks quality. Sometimes it is job-worked from other company. But in the case of monitor, you can definitely rely on Samsung.

The only available Samsung 17" TFT LCD available in India is SyncMaster 740N. Currently it costs Rs. 11250/- +4% VAT in Kolkata.
