Hi guys,

I'm looking for a 13 or 14 inch laptop for office use. Have come across few but there's either a trade-off in storage or processor. Can't find a balanced option. Please help.

I work in an Advertising Agency, so therefore, I'd be using it mainly for running MS Office, but it should be capable enough to run programs like Photoshop CC and Premier Pro CC once in a while.

Budget: 35k-45k

Size: 13"-14" screen.

Weight: Preferably less than 1.8kgs. The lighter the better.

Preferred Specs: 8 GB RAM (must), 256GB SSD, 1080p display.

No brand preferences

need to get 4gb ram added at time of purchase, acer warranty policy doesn't allow self upgrades.

Best option is this though,of course costlier but during a recent sale on flipkart it went for as low as 52-53k.

The problem with the x507 is the size. I already have a 15 inch laptop, kinda fed up of carrying it around.

Acer swift looks like a good option though, but 4gb ram is a let down. Will the warranty be void even if we upgrade the ram through the official acer stores?

Zenbook 13 is priced way too much for what it offers. It's a perfectly balanced laptop though but anything more than 50k for it seems like wasted money.

Yes,vivobook is lower than zenbook but it is still good for your usage. That zenbook though went for 52-53k during a sale & at that price it is a very good option for those who want light & power ultra notebook(I think one or two members here got it for this price & happy with their purchase). You can get the ram added at authorized acer dealer/service centre without voiding warranty but you may have to pay some service charges(not sure though).

Will i3 be enough for day to day multitasking?? That's the only concern I have as I plan on using it for at least 2-3 years. Don't want to start acting up over time.

More than enough for any usual work. For better idea just compare your current pc processor usage & then compare that pc processor with 8130u(processor in above vivobook).e.g.my old laptop has i3 4005u processor & I hardly cross 30-40% processor usage in task manager(only use for browsing & multimedia) & 8130u is ~100% faster than 4005u so doing same things on this processor should result in ~15-20% processor usage.
UserBenchmark: Intel Core i3-4005U vs i3-8130U

All I need is to be able to run multiple apps, use Adobe suites once in a while, have many tabs open in a browser, yet work without freezing or hanging. Just needed to be sure whether i3 can handle such pressures. (been used to i7 for a long while now)

Multiple tabs in browser like chrome need ram much more than processor.i3 8130U is faster than/equivalent to common i7 U edition processors of previous gens.
