Hi,

So, this pc which I am using was working fine but suddenly firefox went full screen and after closing it there was nothing coming up on the screen. Restarted the system and everything seems fine but when I open any app that requires admin rights like say for example cpu-z it gives this error 1073740791

Now the fixes say to run checkdisk etc. via cmd after opening it as an admin but can't open it as admin, getting the same error 1073740791

No spam site visited, the websites opened everyday are clean and no new app was installed
There was a Windows Update, the version is still 19044.1741 after the update but the error has changed to

Followed these fixes but same result

Any way to rectify this without formatting?

Feel Pain.
And also, make a backup of all ur important files immediately in case it does not get fixed, u may need to reinstall, or better take precaution before the conditions worsen.

Do you have a restore point to revert back? If so, try restoring your system to an earlier date and check again.
Try creating a new admin user and check again
You can try refresh windows from within settings and keep your files while you do so. This is near to reinstall but not exactly as you are allowed to keep your files, so windows 10 will just refresh itself as if it’s newly installed but all your files will be intact. Third party apps may need reinstallation later.
Still in worst case (even otherwise regular) backup is recommended.

If you are left with a clean install as a final option, assuming you have never done it before, make sure to create a system image using suitable tools/apps, thereafter so that in future if you really need to restore, you have something to fall back on, just in case.
