everytime i play an audio file in winamp and my av is disabled a tmp file of the same size as my audio file is created what kinda virus is this

What is difference between TEMP and TMP folder located in windows ? I found this when i tried to allocate a different partition for temp. files. What steps involves in doing this. Also, last time when i did this some software installation denies to unpack....probably due temp location change !!!
