struggles

Hi, Since a month or so when I playback a divx/xvid or any video and mp3 my PC sort of struggles, Meaning like in Taskmanager I've made the "View>Update Speed>High", so things get updated every 1 second, Suddenly my PC really struggles and things in taskmanager get updated every 5 seconds...
