i recently installed wmp10 and when i connect my mp3 player(samsung yp-z5f) 'MTP' is displayed on the mp3 and the software doesnt detect the player.how do i disable Mtp- raviramgopal

ubuntu scare's!!!
ok,first just two days ago i installed ubuntu....and i have no expirience with linux!so tht makes me completely new to linux. now i want to install xmms and vlc player.how can i do it???(i dont have net at home). secondly from where to access the terminal?- romeo_8693
