discharge

i just bought a new battery for my laptop, and i was looking how to keep it healthy. one website says u should not discharge it till 0 and other says you should what to do plz guide me

I have just bought a new Su-Kam inverter with a battery from inverpower. now tell me how can I increase the life of the battery and inverter. I heard something about deep discharge. Can anyone help me out thanks :)

I have purchased a set of rechargeable batteries. As a rule they say that we must discharge these batteries atleast 3 times for better use . What is the way to discharge these batteries. The type of batteries purchased are AA size and NImAh . Thats all thanks.
