    What is allocation size and what should be used for my SD card?

    I just bought a Sandisk Micro SD card. Now while formatting it as FAT32 I was wondering what allocation size I should use? Should I use default, or the largest value or what? What does it basically do? TIA.

    Choosing Allocation Unit Size

    While formatting we have to choose Allocation Unit Size which ranges from 512 bytes to 64 kb.I have an Ntfs file system. Selecting any size have same effect or diffrent effect on Hdd size ? For normal usage which size should be choosen?

    recovering from allocation ???

    When i try to format a partition which contains windows xp sp1 using the command 'format drivename:' it gets stuck after 77% and message appears RECOVERING FROM ALLOCATION UNIT 1,319,098 and the number keeps on increasing .I RAN SCANDISK but i din't find any errors
