4tb external hdd needed for storage ,i have these two segate and wd ,segate has bad reviews .now i dont know much about hdd stuffs,the 2014 version looks crappy of segate .and data failure rate is also high,on wd side i didnt find much,i need mainly for storage no performance,and should not fail.

As the title suggests, I want to add a 4tb hdd to my current pc which already has 2tb hdd and a 512gb ssd. I read somewhere that hdd's more than 2.2tb won't support on bios. You need to have something called UEFI. Is this true? Also, what is UEFI? And what do I need to do to make my 4tb hdd run...
