    will 2 hdds improve performance?

RAID-0 will definitely increase performance and will overhaul the responsiveness of the system considering that hdd is the prime bottleneck in a computer. I have a system with 2 SATAs in striped array and I see about 40 % increase in read speeds and 25 % increase in write speeds.

    E398 or K700i please tell

Re: K700i is the king Hey dude we want something more constructive than "k700 is da best" We know it's a good phone but u don't have to go around forums posting that as if u're the first guy to find that out. We don't need to reinvent the wheel. I have heard of many people complaining...

    NewPC,for around 34000/-please suggest best configuration(s)

Go for 1 GB DDR RAM (512x2). It'll be worth it esp. if u're usin it for 3Dmax and other memory hungry apps like premiere and the like. Also you could get a Samsung SP1213 120 GB for about USD 85 here. I believe it won't be much different there. U could even forfeit the extra RAM and get two of...

which anti virus do you all recommand me?

too bad u don't like AVG coz I've been usin it since it's earliest avatars and it has never let me down and is a verygood AV package overall. And it's extremely low on system hogging. I would suggest u go for AVG. Kaspersky ain't bad either but it does reduce system performance noticebly.

    some HDD and RAM questions.....

Hynix are fine. But kingston are the best balance between price and performance. Transcend and Crucial are the best performers but very expensive. I would suggest you to go for a SATA drive if your mobo and budget support it. The SP1213 120GB model from samsung (7200RPM) is pretty cheap and a...

Help me to buy a computer

I would suggest u to go for SATA SP1216 HDD (160GB) from samsung. It's cheap and a pretty good performer. I have two of these drives configured in RAID-0 and boy it's fast. But even on a standalone config. it's fast enough and cheaper than barracudas and much cleaner cables coz it's SATA.

    help my pc config,25k,gaming

well it's a pretty good spec. considering the price. only thing i've gotta add is insist for two discrete 128 MB modules and configure them to run in dual channel if the mobo supports it. I'm sure you know of the benifits. A better but pricier option would be to go for two 256 MB modules for a...

    Ntfs Or FAT32, Why?

Go For NTFS if you single boot with XP. It offers better performance, stability. Also it gives you encryption and compression and best of all large file (>4GB) capability. If you're into video editing and the like you'll know what I mean. But then if you still use 98 then you're outta luck. It...

    Mozilla 1.7.6 Released

RIP Mozilla. Go for the Firefox and the Thunderbird Combo. They're unbeatable......unless u're talking about Opera. If you've ever tried opera then you'll know what I mean. The customizability is awesome. I could go on and on about opera but it would be going off-topic....

    Hyper threading

Yea HT pertains to Multitasking. Sometimes when you are running a single app. like encoding a video file you might even see a performance drop as I did. I got slightly better encoding performance when I disabled HT from the BIOS. If you're into gaming go for the AMD 64. They beat the P4 hands...

HELP ME TO CONFIGURE MY PC!!!!!!!

I'm not sure of the price of any cards in your country but do consider the Maxtor parhelia series of cards or even the mighty Nvidia Quadro FX for your graphics needs. They must not cost much there. As for the PC it seems to be coming up nicely.

    Video Editing !!!!! Which Better

I've been using Premiere for quite a time now. Well most of you guys hit the spot. Premiere needs RAM and a lot of it. I have this 3 GHz P4 system with 2GB DDR 400 and still some effects render slowly. But for home videos and the like 768 would be more than enough. And yea Intels are definitely...
