Grafix: For 22' monitor and playing latest games, i suggest hd4850 for 8K. For playing older games and watching HD movies 9600gt for 5.5K would be enough.

If you budget is only 2.5k, then you can go with VIP 500 watts with passive PFC for 1950/- or VIP 600 watts with active PFC for 2800/- (they have 3 year warranty)
^^True. I had P4 3Ghz and it was running 40-45 when idle..Prescotts are known to run hot..
I suggest you use good thermal paste like Arctic Silver 5 or Tuniq TX2 :)
