Hi everyone,
I assembled the following PC about seven months ago. Along with the PC, I bought a SL Win 8 64-bit license, and have been updating it regularly through windows update. Also, the drivers for all my peripherals are all up to date, so is the BIOS.
The OS was updated to 8.1...
Thanks Cilus, I was looking for an Intel-based system but now I might give AMD a second look after your comment.
Also, yes, I plan to stagger my investments and hope to buy a good graphics card later on, maybe in a year so I would like a cheaper graphics card, maybe in the range of 10-15K...
Cilus,
Thanks for this!
Since this may not be primarily for gaming at the time of current build, I may prefer to get a basic graphics card and divert the savings to perhaps the cpu and motherboard. Maybe go Intel. If so, what's a good configuration.

I work about three days from home so the main purpose is to use...
Thanks for the Haswell alert. I've been reading about it and yes, it makes sense to postpone the purchase till later this year when the new motherboards arrive in the market. I know i will be overpaying for it, but it will hopefully start paying for itself two years from now!

Yes, I agree that a 50K range is a bit too broad. I've edited it to 75K, an am open to it being extended to 100K should there be a good argument for it.
I'll take a closer look at your suggestions.
What is your advice on going with a SSD + 2x2TB Drives? Will I see an...
