I never said that they dont work under ubuntu, but what i said is that they are not that easy to get to work under Fedora. Thanks about the Gparted bit but i already got the hard disk to partition:D

i am using the modem ZTEZXDSL 852, which is usb and adsl

so, i installed fedora without any probs but the fact is that my internet aint working and the guides which are on the net are all targeted towards ubuntu so how can i change? should i just reformat the partition which had ubuntu? will it damage grub?

is mandriva good? I read somewhere that Ubuntu is the most used. this is probably a bad way of choosing the os but still....
