No please....its better if you stick to XFX, BFG..or Leadtek 7600GS
Palit for a time period of less than a year is OK...but sure you will regret hat after an year
Well my SMPS is ratted 300 Watt.... But sure it do handle X1900GT with DVD writer.......When Calculated the recomended PSU level is 404 Watts...Butt sure my PSU does handle it...Cuz its said to deliver 451 Watt
Since you are restricted to your budget...better restrict yourself to X2....
it was good configuration...
You culd play all the games easily with 1024*768 @ medium settings
It generally happens to SMPS of local quality after 3 + years....
The reason behind that is....as the SMPS gets older..more heating issues arises in it..as a result the Fan is forced to rotate @ higher rpms...thus causing more vibrations to the PSU (SMPS).....hence you get sound which exist when...
VIP may seem to be local...but dont under estimmate it...Its far more better than others in terms of price and quality .....and well the thinkdigit lab also use VIP for their 24/7 run
:0 are you sure....well i had doubt about its price...though it was 6200 Rs before 2 weeks

Wuld try to get the All pdf from any of my friends...thats it..not gonna waste my money on such a crap issue..
Well if the magazine is concerned....that should be available in my college library by now ;)
Really hoping for VAST VAST VAST improvement in January issue
@sam9s
I agreed he said "beast" (best) configuration, but limited it to a price of 37000 max. So it was not a clever suggestion to say 800 Mhz Ram which makes no sense (1GB 800 Mhz is bound to give less performance than 1.5 GB 533Mhz )
That may come into picture when you are doing hardcore...
Ohh i thgt that was for proci+ mobo+ram+GPU
phew....this shattered all the conroe plans...
Ok a new config but wil try for conroe...
Intel E6300 8600 Rs
ASUS P5LD2-VM 4800 RS
512 mb @ 533 Mhz Transcend 2500RS
XFX 7600GT 256mb @ 11000 Rs
Lg Flatron 17" @ 6000 Rs
AntiBiotic Cabinet without SMPS...
In digit magazine itself
dude your prices of ram are two high...and for transcend is lesser than corsair
and really speaking 800MHz is not at all needed it is creasing the budget like hell
mohitgiri, you can go for 533 or 667 instead from transcend that may cost you around 5.5k/6.5k max (...
Well platinum has external SPDIF out as well IEEE 1394 out, 6 SataII, two PCI Express 16X slots with 1x16 and 1x4 operations
where as Neo has 5 SATA (4Sata II & one SATA I), one PCI Express 16X slots
So you shld try to get Platinum as possible..but if thats not possible then Neo is also good...
@vivek404
ASUS P4C800 *in.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=12&l3=30&model=176&modelmenu=2
Sadly it dont have onboard GPU but still has AGP x8 slot, You may find it easily in Lamington road.
@Softech

featuring,
- ATI RADEON 9200-based 2D/3D graphics engine
-...
LOL 478 socket is a pin type only ;) Manufacturer fools @ times

*in.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=12&l3=28&model=168&modelmenu=2

NO....P4..
If you had more budget then offcourse C2D wuld be great..
But currently stick to AMD 939 as budget is restricting you..
yes sure you can overclock it too...but mind well its not that performer as compared to ASUS A8N-E....
so provided you have good PSU ...quality ram...then you culd...
